I found a really nice application for my BlackBerry to place browser shortcuts on the home screen.  I’d tried an older version of this program at one point, but I found this version today and it works way better and is much easier to configure. The whole row in the picture, starting with Twitter, are shortcuts to mobile websites (got the nice Tumblr icon there to go to the dashboard of course).  It’s not like it’s a horrible inconvenience to launch the browser and click on a bookmark, but I like having one-click access to sites I frequent on my phone.  It’s also nice that I can choose whatever .png image I want for the shortcut. Here’s a link for the program and other materials if any other BlackBerry users want to check it out.  You’ll need to have a BlackBerry with MicroSD Media Card support (and an SD card installed obviously), with Mass Storage Support on and Auto-Enabled to use this program:BlackBerry Web ShortcutsI’ve included a PDF with instructions on how to configure it from scratch, as well as a preset copy of my configuration with an accompanying Read Me to start with if desired.* Before anyone comments, yes, I have an iPhone styled theme on my BlackBerry.  Let me just interject right now that I do not have iPhone envy, but I do have a case of iPhone “like”.  Most of the nicer looking free themes out there for BlackBerries are styled on the iPhone, and the hell if I’m using the crap-tastic Verizon theme that came with my phone. It’s a very nice theme called bPhone, and you can get it for free here (I happen to use the Zen version on my 8330 Curve).  Given my druthers, I’d probably have an iPhone, but I have this phone through work and I’m not carrying two phones.  I look like enough of a tool everyday in my suit and holstered BlackBerry…
