I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that Robert Smith was the impetus for my enrollment in “Existentialism In The 20th Century” during my Freshman year in College. It was an awesome class - in spite of my new wave tendencies, it provided me the opportunity to discover Pär Lagerkvist.
