I haven’t been able to get around to posting at all lately, but the last thing I remember from the last time I had time to scan the dashboard was a post regarding Jim Jarmusch films.
I apologize as well for the fact that I don’t remember who posted about it, or who reblogged with added commentary. In any case, what I do remember is the conversation centering around what your favorite film of his was for you personally, and Dead Man coming up a few times. Indeed this is my favorite as well… and not just my favorite Jim Jarmusch film, but one of my favorite films period. It was generally panned by critics, but I absolutely love it. I won’t get into my personal take on his filmmaking style right now, other than to say that he’s always had my attention.
So… I’ve embedded the Dead Man Soundtrack (sorry, not visible from the Dashboard), which was composed by Neil Young and is a very, very integral part of the ethos of the film, as well as Jim Jarmusch in one of the far-too-few “Fishing With John” videos.
