My wife is from England, and she arranged a special viewing of the site for us through the historical society several years ago. We got to go in before the site was open to the public and walk around inside the circle (you can’t do that anymore normally). I was a bad boy and pocketed a few stones to bring home. They were lying on the ground, however - I didn’t have a pickaxe… or I would have done some real VanDammage.
