nostrich: Managed to find a MAME ROM of the original Bubble Bobble arcade game tonight (as in, not one of the shitty clones that most people end up with — people that have played this know why that’s important). Hugely nostalgic memories relating to this game. I must have spent many hundreds of pounds in the little café down the road playing this 8 years ago. And even after 8 years, I can still break 1 million, I’m surprised at myself (my highest score, set with the help of a friend, was over 3 million). Though it gets really fucking hard once you break into the 40s. This won’t be the last time I mention Bubble Bobble. Any other fans of Bubble Bobble? I love this, as well as all the other classics from my youth I’ve been able to relive through MAME. I have a rather massive collection of ROMs, several hundred MB’s worth actually, that I’d be willing to pass along if anyone wants them. Just need a method of transfer that will work.Later this week I’m probably going to be springing the whopping 10 bucks to upgrade my drop.io site to 1 GB, so if anyone’s interested, let me know and I’ll put them up there (contact information is on my site).
