The resort I work at was built back in 1885, and in the inner courtyard there are several Native American burial mounds. Apparently there were many others as well, which were all destroyed during initial construction back when people gave a shit less about such things (I’m lookin’ at you, 19th century Whitey!) There’s also an area in the lower level of the conference center where you can open a little door to expose the old boilers, which are sitting on top of some mounds. I walk by all of these every day and never really give it a second thought. Is revenge from beyond the grave for my ancestors wrongdoing imminent? Should I be concerned?
