Some surveillance video from where I work captured while I was on vacation. Surprisingly, it’s not just kids that hate to pay for online access… “30 cents a minute!?!?” is a phrase I hear all too often.

I live in a pretty small town that is, as you would expect, sadly lacking in restaurant choices. Tonight my wife and I are getting a take out fish fry. I looked them up online to get the number, which I’ve done in the past, but I’ve never actually clicked on the link for their site because the number is listed in the description. Click the link at your own peril - it’s a...

Wow, that was much more difficult than I thought - great fun though!
Drop.io: Simple, Private Storage & Sharing →
I think I heard about this service first here on Tumblr. I’m pretty sure it was either Marco or David that posted it - Drop.io is a NYC startup so that would make sense, but I digress… I’ve used Drop.io a few times now, and it really is too easy. I’ve never tried posting anything from my old-ass blackberry 7100t. Seems I’m pretty much limited to text posts if I want it to be somewhat painless, but the fact that I can do it is a nice bonus. The new dashboard actually displays nicely (albeit slowly) on this phone.
James Brown’s Funky Christmas - My all-time favorite Christmas Album. I’ve always had an affinity for obscure Christmas recordings. This album is a compilation of various James Brown Christmas recordings and is awesome from the opening horn section on Go Power At Christmas Time, to the jangly guitar and anti-war sentiment in Hey America.
Can’t go wrong with James Brown…...

I really love the idea of OpenID and have it set up, but I think it’s going to take exactly something like this to really push it to the forefront.
